Powers the module system off of the 4-20mA loop power and allows the Main Processor the ability to control the loop current.

              Zero - 4mA Level

              Span - 20mA Level

              Allows compatibility with all acquisition systems

              Prevents false negatives caused by a 3.99mA                reading

• Can allow low baud rate digital communications over the 4-20mA lines

              Limitations:

              Only unidirectional communication

              Requires a proprietary translator

              Will not apply to all industrial standards surrounding a 4-                 20mA signal
